The captives are set free

Isaiah 61:1-3 - "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified." These verses from the Bible are well-known and familiar to most Christians.

This is God's expectation for us, and it is also the expectation that every child of God must have for themselves. Because we were all poor, captive, sorrowful, or covered in dust before, but by God's grace, we are no longer the same today. But don't forget, there are still many people who are still in the same situation as we were before!

The above situations mostly refer to the state of mind, but in today's world, there are still many people who are not only bound and suppressed mentally, but also physically unfree. Can you give a few examples? One example is the slave families in Pakistan.

These poor people who borrowed money from landlords for various reasons had to work as slaves for their entire lives, or even for generations, in order to repay their debts.

Do they owe a lot of debt? Maybe for them, but for us, it's hard to imagine that owing such a small amount of money to someone, they can't even pay it back and have to work as cheap labor for a lifetime to repay the debt.

These two families, the widower family and the widow family, are rising and shining in the future this month and need to be redeemed in Pakistan. Their debts to the landlord are $727 and $690 respectively.
Yes, the debt is only about NT$20,000, but I have to be a slave for the rest of my life.

With very little money, redeem a slave family in Pakistan, allowing them to break free from all debts and bondage, which best enables us to see the value of money.

For these two families, what can we do with $20,000? At most, we can have a few days of domestic travel, right?! But if you are willing, it can change the destiny of a family.

Thank the Lord, a sister informed me two days ago that she wanted to donate a large sum of money in the hope of redeeming four families in Pakistan. She asked me if it was enough.

I told her that based on past experiences of redeeming families, the amount she contributed could not only help four families, but even up to eight to ten families... This is the meaning and power of money! Brothers and sisters, do you see it? May we all understand the significance of money.
